Thanks to those who joined our April SEND Coffee Morning

Last week we welcomed parents and carers to our monthly coffee morning to talk about Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We had a general discussion and then looked at the 'zones of regulation'. We will be referring to these more and more in the coming months.

We'd like to thank our Parent Carer Champion Tanya and Manchester Parent Carer Forum for facilitating the meeting. We'd love to welcome even more parents and carers to the next session, Thursday 23 May, 9:30am.

📰 The latest Local Offer newsletter includes some events taking place in Harpurhey and Heaton Park. It also includes other information that might be useful for parents and carers of children with SEND.

Eco Conference

Eco Warriors talk about their work at a special conference

Last week some of our older students visited Co-op Head Office for the Trust's Eco Conference. This special event brought together green-minded students from many different schools.

Our team updated the conference on some of the work they have been doing, including building our 'living wall' - a vertical garden that promotes biodiversity.

Exams and assessments update

✍️ This week Year 9 students will sit assessments in English and Maths under exam conditions. We wrote to Year 9 families about this last week. Year 9 shouldn't be worried about these. We just ask students to try their best. The results will help our teachers know how best to support your child.

✍️ Many Year 11 students have already taken some exams for practical or BTEC subjects, and are now getting ready for the main exams starting next week.

More information and timetables can be found on our exams page.
