This week’s parent poll
Three quick questions from the schools inspectorate, Ofsted.
Since last week we have had confirmed new cases in the Year 7, Year 9 and Year 11 bubbles. A small number of students were asked to self-isolate at home as a result.
What happens when a child is asked to self-isolate?
You may be curious about how we support students to continue learning if they need to isolate at home.
We ask students to follow their normal timetable at home, logging in to Google Classroom and ‘turning in’ three assignments per day – one for each lesson they are timetabled for.
In addition, there is a ‘In Touch’ Classroom where we will ask students to check in and there are ILTs to complete.
All teachers are sharing their lessons on Google Classrooms for students to follow at home.
This week we relaunched the Home Learning section of our website with new and improved guidance for parents and carers: https://manchester.coopacademies.co.uk/parents/home-learning/
And finally, you may be interested in taking part in our Healthy Schools survey about food education and the food we serve at break and lunch. We know it may be difficult for you to answer questions about what lunchtime is like, but the impression you have of it is important.
We will also be surveying students and staff in the course of this process.
