Oh yes they did! Teachers put on a Pantomime to raise money for a school trip

For two special performances in January 2018, academy staff swapped boards for bloomers and writing for wigs, to put on a special production of Cinderella.

Our vibrant Panto brought together a fairytale princess, a charming prince, two ugly sisters and the servant Buttons for this classic rags to riches story. Tickets were only £2.50 for students, but our sell-out performances raised around £1000 which will go to support a school trip for our choir and musicians, who will be travelling to Germany later in the year.

Maths Teacher Mr Tollman, who played the ‘Hairy Godfather’, explained that he wanted “to entertain our students and raise money for a school trip.” After the show, he said, “That was extremely exhausting but excellent fun and really rewarding. I was blown away by how many tickets we sold!” On the days after the show, he had “lots of compliments in the corridors and a few in the classroom.”
