Record turnout for our first Parent/Carer Forum of the year
Please find minutes from the Parent/Carer Forum as a downloadable PDF below.
On Monday 15 October, Mr Brice welcomed our biggest group yet of parents and carers attending our Parent Forum.
What is Parent Forum?
Each term, academy Principal Mr Brice invites parents and carers to join him for a tea/coffee and to talk about general issues that affect large numbers of parents/carers. Regular topics of discussion include lunches, homework/Independent Learning Tasks and planners, the MyEd app and more.
Throughout the year we hold a number of Parent Forum events, and parents are welcome to attend as many or as few as they like. We hold both morning and evening sessions throughout the year. Whilst you might not be able to make all of them, we hope everyone who wants to come has an opportunity to attend some of them.
The October Forum focused on a range of issues, including detailed discussions about our new lunch arrangements (including queues and Parent Pay) and homework or ‘Independent Learning Tasks’, amongst other topics. The full minutes are below.
Mr Brice shared the following message on Twitter after the meeting.
So grateful to all the parents who came to join our first Parents’ Forum meeting of the year. Record turn out. Some great feedback and constructive comments to help us get even better.
