Students to host broadcast with Virgin Galactic & STEAM School

We are proud and excited to announce a new partnership with Steam School, an online learning platform. To launch this exciting online programme, Co-op Academy Manchester students have been invited to co-host a broadcast with Virgin Galactic on 4th February 2020 . Students will be joined Steam School host Jon Chase and Virgin Galactic pilot, Jameel Janjua to talk all things space travel.

Steam School is a virtual academy for future inventors and entrepreneurs aged 9-14 years old. Steam School hosts 6 missions every year exploring #STEAM4GOOD projects and futuristic technology. Students can journey through each mission by participating in weekly broadcasts with STEAM experts and choose from 18 different challenges to complete as scientists, engineers, artists, digital makers and entrepreneurs.

Head of Academy, Mr Beard said,

“We are incredibly excited to be joining Steam School. Now more than ever, we need to find new ways to allow our students to understand the opportunities available to them. Steam School provides a unique platform for our students to meet and engage with a wide range of STEAM professionals, finding out about future jobs and pathways.

Our students can’t wait to meet Jameel and I’m sure that this broadcast will inspire the next generation of pilots, engineers and astronauts.”
