Changes to uniform policy (skirts)

Dear parents and carers,

As you will be aware, we have recently been reviewing our uniform policy and have been asking for your views and opinions.

After careful consideration and after feedback from parents, students and staff we have made the decision to move to plain black pleated skirts from September 2021.

We have taken this decision to make it easier for you to source skirts that fit with our policy and also to ensure uniform standards are consistently high.

This will mean that straight black skirts will no longer be allowed from September 2021. We will be updating our uniform policy and publishing this online.

Below is a list of suppliers that source plain black pleated skirts that you could use if you wish to:

Senior Girls Black Plus Fit Pleated School Skirt Asda

Black Permanent Pleat Skirt (10-16 years) Sainsbury’s

Girls’ Crease Resistant School Skirts (2-16 Yrs). Marks and Spencers

Girls Black Pleated Skirt Matalan

We are committed to supporting families and students facing hardship. If you need support in purchasing a skirt, please let Mrs Marshall, Vice Principal, know and we can provide you with a pleated skirt. Additionally, if your child is a new student in Year 7 and you have already purchased a new, straight black skirt, we will replace it with a black pleated skirt free of charge.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and continued support.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Marshall
Vice Principal
