At Co-op Academy Manchester, what we do matters, but the way that we do it matters even more. We ask students and colleagues to be GREAT in everything we do. The things that make us GREAT permeate through our daily habits to ensure educational excellence for our students through cooperation and elevated aspirations, creating responsible citizens who value and support their community. We are passionate about giving our students the very best opportunities to prepare them for happy and successful futures.
Year 10 students recently stepped out of the classroom and into the exciting world of science and technology.

Leaders, trustees and governors strive for all pupils at Co-op Academy Manchester to be successful. Pupils are encouraged to demonstrate the ‘ways of being Co-op’ in all that they do. In the main, pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), achieve well.
Teachers have strong subject knowledge. They use their expertise to help pupils to learn well in lessons.
Due to the heatwave, we are making changes to the uniform this week. Students do not need to wear their blazers or ties to the academy for the remainder of the week. They should leave them at home until further notice. Students who normally wear skirts and tights are encouraged to wear school trousers, if they have them. Students should bring a reusable water bottle to school every day so they can stay hydrated. Water coolers are available throughout the academy for students to refill their bottles. Students should apply sunscreen before leaving for school in the morning. Students may also bring sunscreen with them to reapply during the day. We will be monitoring the temperature in classrooms throughout the week to ensure that they remain as cool as possible. At social times all students have access to ventilated indoor spaces and shaded areas outside. We are currently planning for uniform to return to normal next week but we will continue to monitor the situation and provide a further update later in the week.
