BBC Bitesize Careers Tour Visits Co-op Academy Manchester

Students at Co-op Academy Manchester were visited by special guests from BBC Bitesize as part of their Careers Tour, which aims to visit 125,000 secondary school students across the UK in a bid to inspire young people about their future job prospects and forms part of a wider remit of the BBC to inform, educate and entertain.

The session was hosted by Ross Fiddes, BBC Sports Reporter and Presenter, who gave an insight into his career journey as well as highlighting careers within and outside of the BBC. In addition, we welcomed special guest Alicia Forde - star of the hit TV series Waterloo Road, who shared an insight into careers in the TV industry.

"I spoke to a number of students and staff who found the session informative, especially as they had the opportunity to ask questions. Some had not heard of BBC Bitesize before the session but will definitely begin using it in the future."
