Set up for future success: GCSE Results Day 2024

The publication of today’s GCSE results sees Co-op Academy Manchester's ‘Class of 2024’ celebrating their many excellent achievements, with a large number of students making greater than expected progress in a range of different subjects.

This is the culmination of their hard work, resilience and determination throughout their time at Co-op Academy Manchester and we are sure students, family and friends will be proud of their individual achievements.

We are pleased to see that both progress and attainment measures continue to improve compared to 2023, including a greater number of students achieving a grade 5 or higher in all core subjects (English, Maths and Science). There has also been an increase in the number of students achieving the highest possible grade (grade 9) across our range of GCSE subjects, which exemplifies the high expectations we have had for our students and which they have for themselves.

We are also proud of the progress students have made in subjects which form the English Baccalaureate (EBacc), where we have, again, seen greater progress made when compared to our 2023 results.

We are incredibly proud of all our students and know these results will set them up to succeed in the future, whatever their chosen route may be.

Mr Glover, Principal

Whilst we are pleased with the GCSE results of this cohort we continue to have the highest possible aspirations for all our students and will challenge and support our Year 7 to 10 students to ensure this trend of improved progress and attainment continues over time.

To Year 11 students we say, this is your day. We wish you all the very best in your next ventures, and we can't wait to celebrate these results with you again later in the year for our Celebration Evening.
