Dear parents and carers, welcome to this week's update. This week we look forward to welcoming Year 11 parents and carers for their Progress Evening on Thursday. If you haven't yet made your appointments, please do so beforehand.
⚠️ Reminder: we have a vacancy for a parent or carer to join our Academy Community Council. This is our version of the governing body. Please see the app/SMS messages we have sent you for details on how to nominate yourself or another parent/carer who wishes to be put forward.

Extra-curricular club of the week - Minecraft Club
When: Tuesdays after school 3pm - 3.45pm
Where: ICT 5
Minecraft club is run every week for students in Year 7 and Year 8. It is a fun way to put students’ programming skills into practice. If your child would like to join, they should speak to their ICT Teacher.
Christmas Concert
When: Tuesday 17 December 6.00pm - 8.00pm
Where: Academy Theatre
You are invited to join us for an evening of festive music in our Academy Theatre.

Community Fridge Christmas Opening
Our Community Fridge is open to the whole community on Mondays, 3:15pm - 4pm. It's a place for sharing good food that might otherwise go to waste.

Academy teacher Mr Long collects a trophy at special awards ceremony
For the past 12 months, English Teacher Mr Long has taken on the role of designated teacher for our cared for children and built strong relationships with cared for children.
