3 September 2024
Dear parents and carers,
Welcome to the new school year! We are especially pleased to welcome parents and carers of our new Year 7 students.
Each week we send these weekly updates letting you know what's going on in the school and any key dates. We will send a message directly to you to let you know a new edition is published, but they can always be found on our website at https://www.manchester.coopacademies.co.uk/letters-home - if you ever worry that you aren't receiving our messages please check there. Of course, we won't publish any confidential letters about your child there.
We need a current phone number and email address for all parents and carers, so please let us know if you change them.
For the next few weeks we are sending messages via a service called Iris Reach. This will send you a free My Ed app message if you have the app, or else an SMS message if you do not. We do ask parents and carers to please download the app as it reduces the cost of messaging. By October half-term, we plan to move to the service provided by Arbor. This will mean that messages, behaviour data and lunch payments are 'all in one place' for parents and carers.

Dear parents and carers,
As we get closer to returning to school for the new academic year, I wanted to share with you a number of exciting curriculum and teaching changes which will be taking place at Co-op Academy Manchester.
These are the result of months of detailed planning and are focused on ensuring that all students are challenged and supported to strive towards becoming knowledge experts. These changes will be in place ready for the students when they rejoin us for the 2024-25 year.

Dear parents and carers,
As our academic year comes to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to offer my personal thanks for the support you have shown to me since being appointed Principal back in October. It has been an extremely busy but very rewarding year and I have felt truly privileged to have become part of this great community.
Welcome to this week's update. We hope everyone had a relaxing break.
We invited them to our 'Helping Your Child Revise' evening - a summary of the top tips we shared is below.
