Harriet was part of the first ever Young Writers Programme at Co-op Academy Manchester in 2023/24. Bursting with energy and a love for writing, she talks about her experience in the weekly sessions at school, being part of the Young Writers Residential 2024, and her aspirations for the future.
We were delighted to hear from former student Tamar. This summer she will complete her A Levels at Loreto College before moving on to read PPE at the University of Oxford.

Year 10 and Year 11 students and staff recently attended the glittering 2024 MTV EMA Awards at the UK's largest entertainment arena, Co-op Live, in Manchester, as part of a successful bid to receive free tickets through the charity, Cash for Kids.
Eco Club students were recently joined by Stephen Morgan MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary in the Department for Education, who came to see all the amazing work they have done creating green spaces and boosting biodiversity around the academy grounds.
Students and staff were awarded a special trophy by Manchester City Council to celebrate a successful co-production project with the Council’s Early Help Team.
Students at Co-op Academy Manchester were visited by special guests from BBC Bitesize as part of their Careers Tour, which aims to visit 125,000 secondary school students across the UK in a bid to inspire young people about their future job prospects and forms part of a wider remit of the BBC to inform, educate and entertain.
The publication of today’s GCSE results sees Co-op Academy Manchester's ‘Class of 2024’ celebrating their many excellent achievements, with a large number of students making greater than expected progress in a range of different subjects.
This is the culmination of their hard work, resilience and determination throughout their time at Co-op Academy Manchester and we are sure students, family and friends will be proud of their individual achievements.
Hundreds of students from the academy took part in our Sports Day at Manchester Regional Arena next to the Etihad.
